Title Recent advances in glacial landsystems

Description

This session will contain state of the art presentations on glacial landform–sediment associations in both modern and ancient settings. The focus is on the development of glacial landsystems as aids to the reconstruction of Quaternary palaeoglaciation in a variety of environments. These environments produce an array of landform-sediment signatures representative of different styles of glaciation. This session will therefore focus on developments in both process-form models in contemporary glacierized catchments as well as reconstructions of glacier dynamics and morphostratigraphic relationships in ancient terrains. It is a session aimed at glacial geomorphologists and sedimentologists interested in refining our models of Quaternary glaciations.
