Title The Magdalenian : Human Adaptations to the Late Last Glacial in Western and Central Europe

The session will present case studies from all across Europe to explore the latest knowledge about Late Last Glacial human re- expansion and re-colonization of the uplands and north of Europe, in the double contexts of broad, flexible social networks and great ecological variability in subsistence and territory. The papers will cover the Magdalenian settlement of Portugal, Andalucia, Eastern Spain, the Ebro Valley, Cantabrian Spain, Southern France, the Massif Central, Northern France, Switzerland, England, Belgium, Southern Netherlands, The Rhineland, SW Germany, NW Germany, Eastern Germany, Southern Poland and the Czech Republic, with some specialized papers on regional environments of the Tardiglacial (from faunas micro and macro, pollen, macrobotanicals, etc.).
